In an article published on Thursday, NPR quoted a report by the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University about the dire situation affecting people all over the country. The center’s report found that in 2022, “as rents spiked during the COVID-19 pandemic, a record half of U.S. renters paid more than 30% of their income for rent and utilities. Nearly half of those people were severely cost-burdened, paying more than 50% of their income,” the NPR article continued.

President Trump wrote: “We encourage all states to deploy their guards to Texas to prevent Illegals from entering the country and to return them across the border.” “All Americans should support Texas authorities’ commonsense measures to protect Texas, the American people, and their safety, security, and sovereignty.”
